High carbon silicon characteristics
i. application (function)
Silicon-carbon alloy is a new type of alloy used in converter, which can replace ferrosilicon, silicon carbide and carburizer, reduce the amount of deoxidizer, and be used in converter smelting deoxidization and alloying process.
High carbon silicon is a good substitute for iron and silicon in steelmaking.
ii. Characteristics (advantages)
1. Excellent cycle rate of Si by composite deoxidizer Si and C
2. High purity due to high content of Si and C (at least 80%)
3. With high carbon content, it has excellent heating effect
4. Reduced working hours
5. Easy to control carbon content
6. Improve the quality of molten steel, improve product quality, improve product new energy, reduce the amount of alloy added, reduce the cost of steelmaking and increase economic benefits.
