Oxidized 55% Black Silicon Carbide Releasing Lots of Heat Energy

SiC, also known as carborundum, is produced by melting a mixture of sillica sand and cokes in ultra high power electric furnaces. SiC is chemically stable and has high corrosion resistance, which makes it hard to corrode from exposure to alkali or acid. It is also characterized by its high hardness, outstanding heat resistance, low thermal expansion, resistance to chemical reaction, and ability to function as a semiconductor. Currently, Chinese industrial production of silicon carbide is divided into black SiC and green SiC, which mainly has four major application fields : functional ceramics, refractories, abrasives and metallurgical raw materials.

1. Lump: 10-30mm ; 30-50mm ; 50-100mm or as customers' requirements.

2. Granule: 0-10mm or as customers' requirements.

3.Powder: 100mesh, 200mesh, 240mesh, 300mesh, 325mesh or as customers' requirements.

SiC is suitable for cupola and electric furnace, widely used in iron foundries and in steel mills as deoxidizing agent, especially in ladle furnaces and electric arc furnaces during slag treatment. SiC can improve the temperature of molten steel rapidly, shorten the melting time, play the role of deoxidizing, increasing carbon and silicon, heating to improve the quality of steel.
