Silicon carbide is a kind of synthetic carbide that molecular formula is Sic.Usually is silicon dioxide and carbon are formed at high temperatures above 2000 ℃ after electrified.The theoretical density of silicon carbide is 3.18 grams per cubic centimeter, and its Mohs hardness is second only to diamond, and between 9.2-9.8, the microhardness is 3300 kilograms per cubic millimeter.
