Types of inoculants

Ferrosilicon Inoculant
Ferrosilicon inoculants have different use values and market prices because of their different index contents. 45FeSi inoculant has poor inoculation treatment effect, and the use cost of 85FeSi is too high, so 75FeSi and 72FeSi are commonly used in inoculants in steel foundries. Ca and Al in ferrosilicon have a great influence on the inoculation effect, among which Ca has a greater influence, and when it is greater than 0.5%, it has a strong graphite ability. The aluminum content of 75 ferrosilicon is 1.5%, and the aluminum content of 72 ferrosilicon is 2%. Ferrosilicon inoculants are generally 0.2-0.8mm flow inoculants, 1-3mm and 3-8mm particle sizes.
Silicon barium inoculant
Silicon barium inoculants are mainly used in the production of gray cast iron and ductile iron. When used in ductile iron, the silicon-barium inoculant can significantly increase the number of graphite nodules; when used in gray cast iron, it can reduce the tendency of white mouth, refine grains, promote graphitization, and improve the shape of graphite. In addition to improving mechanical properties, silicon-barium inoculants have strong anti-recession ability. Silicon-barium inoculants are mostly used as inoculants containing 2-4% barium. Silicon barium inoculants are generally 0.2-0.8mm flow inoculants, 1-3mm and 3-8mm particle size.
